Giva respects your privacy. We want to make use of individual identifying information that you provide to us for purposes of serving you better. "Individual identifying information" is information that enables us to identify you, such as your email address, name, title and address. Giva has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles) with regard to the processing of personal data received from Switzerland in reliance on the Swiss-U.S. DPF. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the EU-U.S. DPF Principles and/or the Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles, the Principles shall govern. In compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. DPF, Giva commits to resolve DPF Principles-related complaints about our collection and use of your personal information. EU and UK individuals and Swiss individuals with inquiries or complaints regarding our handling of personal data received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. DPF should first contact Giva on our via contact us us page.
In compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. DPF, Giva commits to refer unresolved complaints concerning our handling of personal data received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. DPF to JAMS, an alternative dispute resolution provider based in the United States. Giva’s commitments under the Data Privacy Framework are subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the United States Federal Trade Commission.
Giva may be required to disclose personal information in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including meeting national security or law enforcement requirements.
Individual's using Giva's websites and products have the possibility, under certain conditions, to invoke binding arbitration. Giva is obligated to arbitrate claims and follow the terms as set forth in Annex I of the DPF Principles, provided that an individual has invoked binding arbitration by delivering notice to Giva and following the procedures and subject to conditions set forth in Annex I of Principles. Giva can also be liable in cases of onward transfers to third parties.
EU/UK/Switzerland individuals have rights to access personal data about them, and to limit use and disclosure of their personal data. With our Data Privacy Framework certification, Giva has committed to respect those rights. Because Giva personnel have limited ability to access data our customers submit to our services, if you wish to request access, to limit use, or to limit disclosure, please provide the name of the Giva customer who submitted your data to our services. We will refer your request to that customer, and will support them as needed in responding to your request.

1. Notice and Disclosure

This Privacy Policy is made available to you in order to make you aware of how Giva collects and uses individual identifying information of visitors to Giva's Web site.

4. Use of Cookies

A cookie is a small data file that certain Web Sites write to your hard drive when you visit them. A cookie file can contain information such as a user ID that the site uses to track the pages you've visited, but the only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. A cookie cannot read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites. Some parts of the Giva Web Site use cookies to track user traffic patterns. We do this in order to determine the usefulness of the site information to our users and to see how effective our navigational structure is in helping users reach that information.

5. Web Beacons

Giva uses Web beacons alone or in conjunction with cookies to compile information about customers and visitors' usage of Giva's Web Sites and interaction with emails from Giva. Web beacons are clear electronic images that can recognise certain types of information on your computer, such as cookies, when you viewed a particular Web site tied to the Web beacon, and a description of a Web site tied to the Web beacon. For example, Giva may place Web beacons in marketing emails that notify Giva when you click on a link in the email that directs you to one of Giva's Web Sites.
